Shining Smith and her crew are racing to gather weapons to take down their enemy and rescue one of their own. But the weapons gathering doesn’t go as planned for Shining and her crew.
This was another action packed adventure for Shining. As a fellow West Virginian I find this future of the state fascinating. I love this mesh of future technology, nanobots, aliens, and hive minds. In this one, we see more of what Shining can do with weapons, the cats, and of course her nanobots.
One of the things I really enjoyed about this book was all the secondary characters. Cookie is no longer a weak willed woman, she is becoming a badass who is highly organized. Jagger is back but isn’t the controlled man who left. Her relationship with Jagger is heartbreaking and I really can’t wait to see how the future will progress with them. And as always, I love the cats and her relationship with them.
I really can’t wait for the next book because I can’t wait for the big battle. Hopefully, we also get a resolution with Jagger because I really like him.
