Hot Stuff
by Max Monroe
I always love Max Monroe books and HOT STUFF is another great book!
First off, hella-hot fireman? YES. PLEASE. But I love this smoking hot firefighter for more than his body. Garrett is such a great Hero. He's a wonderful dad, a great fireman, responsible, caring, and he has his shit together. I swooned when he went to the kitchen after a meal to help clean up while the other men in the story watched football. (SIDE NOTE: damn, do men ever operate under a freaking low-bar of expectations).
And Lauren is a fantastic lead female. Smart, hilarious, relatable, kind, and hardworking. I loved her strong sense of self and her longing for more. She was so wonderful.
There is also a really complex and meaningful part to this story that exists for all relationships where one partner does a high-risk job. Fire fighters and police and soldiers, etc. The other person is left alone and worried for long stretches of time. These are real worries and Max Monroe tackled these issues perfectly. I loved this part of the story so much.
This is a great book, with sweetness and PLENTY OF STEAM! Another great read from Max Monroe that you will definitely want at the top of your TBR.
Thank you to the authors and Social Butterfly PR for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
