This was such a fun book to read! One moment it’s cute and swoony, the next it’s so frustrating I wanted to scream “JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER!” 🤣 But honestly, I loved reading their messy progress. The way they didn’t communicate kept me completely hooked.

Essie Lovelock is determined to be the best maid of honor ever—even if it means working closely with Nate Stiles, the best man who ghosted her after the best kiss of her life six years ago. He’s serious and grumpy, she’s sworn off fairytales, and now they’re forced together for wedding planning, bachelorette parties, and even salsa lessons. This is a standalone, grumpy/sunshine, second-chance romance full of unresolved tension and slow-burning sparks.

My heart really went out to Nate and all his baggage. And I’m absolutely in love with Essie. On a personal note, I have such a soft spot for her because I see so much of myself in Essie. This story hit me right in the core. And that last plot twist? It shattered me to pieces. It HURT—I legit cried. 🥲

The tension between Essie and Nate was chef’s kiss. Playful, flirty Essie paired with grumpy Nate was so fun to watch—and it exploded in the bedroom. 🤣 Their chemistry was perfect, and all those snuggly moments just warmed my heart.

I also loved their group of friends. The whole Toronto crew felt so warm, fun, and real. If you have time, I really recommend reading the entire Toronto series from the start—but all the books work perfectly as standalones. I seriously can’t wait for the next one!
