The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge

2.0

This is a greatest-hits compilation of Coleridge's most exemplary poems. What strikes me in all of them is his musical style. His rhymes and the general sound of the poems is wonderful. When read aloud these are all quite nice sounding. However, as is the case with much of the romantic movement, I find most of them ineffectual and boring. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is the exception; it's an adventurous banger of a poem and one of my all time favorites. However, I care little for the rest of this collection.
