HOLY COW!!! FINALLY a book worth raving about!
Not gonna lie it took me a good 1/4 (quarter) of the book to really get into it. I heard about how good this book was from my friend Bridget (darkfaerietales_) and so I knew it was gonna be good... then I couldn't get into it, but due to a long road trip I was able to listen to it TILL I got to the part I was hooked. FINALLY!
It's been a LONG time since I found a book I couldn't put down. Yes I've become that incredibly picky.
I finally finished this book last night just after 12am and I immediately looked for when book 2 comes out. AND I ordered the UK hardback of this book even though I already has the US version. That's how much I loved this book!
The writing was excellent! Everything was very well done. The world building was vivid and clear. The characters had depth and substance to them. Nothing was what it seemed (although I will say I figured out the mystery of "who done it" very early on) in regards to the characters because there was just so much more than your typical mystery. This was no ordinary mystery there was so much more to the story and it's characters. I could see, hear, taste, and smell everything the author wrote. Everything about this book was beautiful and vivid. I LOVED IT!
I'm desperate to get my hands on book 2 and can't wait for that day to come!
MUST OWN!
Sexual Content: mild
Spice-O-Metter: 1.5 chili peppers
Language: mild
Drugs/Alcohol: mild
Violence: moderate
LGBTQ: no
