The 1,000-year-old Boy by Ross Welford

I would recommend this book for the young audience it's intended for. It has lots of stuff that would be interesting for kids.

My only gripe is that almost every chapter finished with "and you won't believe what happened next"/ "but I was proven wrong almost immediately" etc. These kind of unnecessary cliffhangers? Why? The next chapter starts literally on the next page. It's not a serial in a newspaper and you need not amp up the tension.
