It should be made clear that I am not a dark romance reader. I wanted to dip my toe into the genre, and knew KR was a safe place to start since she’s a queen of CWs and explicit consent (I don’t read anything with noncon). It was a safe choice, but it confirmed what I suspected - dark romance is not for me.
So… I didn’t like it - but it’s my own fault that I picked up a book that I knew I was unlikely to enjoy. And it would be unfair of me to rate it for that same reason.
The book is well written and the characters likable. It was fun to get to sort of check in with the Beast trio, especially as that’s one of my favorite books. I think if you’re an enjoyer of dark romance, you’d like this one!
