rainydayrambles 's review for:
Fruits Basket Collector's Edition, Vol. 8
by Natsuki Takaya
I love how packed with emotions this was, but storyline wise, it felt like one of the weaker volumes. I do dock review points for Tohru's parents backstory as well. Nothing about it sat right with me as a reader, her being a middle schooler and him being a teacher, and it wasn't written very realistically at all. I mean, he fell in love with a 13 year old because she cried and was emotionally vulnerable? Odd.
