"In as much as ye have done it unto them, ye have done it unto me".

Such a lovely little story. The plight of the Magdalene girls is so sad, and such a shameful part of Irish history. The story about Bill an illegitimate child who has mercifully escaped that horror, is sweet, sad, and hopeful. If only more people had made such a gesture.

"Small Things Like These" is a story about appreciating what you have and doing what is right, even if it is costly.
