City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

4.0

I liked this book although I read her other series first, The Infernal devices. Although the two series are set in the same world, they are completely different. That being said, I think this one seemed to start a little slower. Once you got past the slower start, the book was very good. Our main character thinks that she is seeing things when she stumbles upon a group of teenagers that apparently kill a human, but he wasn't human. He was a demon that was sent back to his dimension. Her closest friend, Simon, can not see these demon slayers. From there, she gets pulled into their world, and Simon gets pulled in a little too.

There isn't too much of the angsty teen crap that I don't really like to read in books. Which is why I try to keep more toward YA fantasy books, if I read any YA books at all. This was definitely worth the read.
