An absolutely amazing book that I'd recommend to anyone with an interest in dark academia. This one may be the darkest I've read. Kuang has a way of narrating real life struggles and making them so accessible and though provoking that you wonder why this has never been on your mind before. I think the Necessity of Violence really does become apparent at around half way through the book, and suddenly you understand why the book is titled as it is.
This is a thought-provoking, heart-breaking and irrefutably amazing book. The characters here make it even more important, and even more important in today's society. It's relatable on personal levels, and I'll never stop recommending it.
I'm hoping that from the way this book is set up, we get a prequel and a sequel in time. I'd love to know all 3 sides of this story... Hell, I'd like to know EVERY side of this story!
