Okay so admittedly I was reading this for my reading challenge. There’s a category I read as “a book you associate with a favorite person/place/thing.” But I missed that it had to be a book from your TBR list - which this book was not on - and I can’t make myself bend the rules a little bit.

I’m still glad that challenge pushed me to read this book even if it doesn’t “count.” Jeopardy was the backdrop of a lot of fun moments in life, and my parents liked to tell me about how when I was a toddler I would say “hi Alex!” whenever Jeopardy started.

This book is basically in line with what Trebek always seemed like; a bit reserved with moments of candidness and also a healthy dose of humor. I was deeply moved by the brief chapter (they’re all brief) on how there are tons of people out there, going about their days with illness. That was something I needed to hear today.
