Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith

4.0

"Child 44" was a dynamic book reminiscent of a James Bond movie or Sherlock Holmes novel.

The stories twists and turns kept my interest and involved in the plot. Many characters are dynamic with layers unwrapped as needed through the story. Although the protagonist, Leo, is at times, an unlikeable character, you can't but help but get wrapped up in his mission and begin to sympathize with him as he works to solve and unsolvable crime.

The subject matter is disturbing and dark, but worth reading for the well-developed characters.
