A lawyer reunites with the woman who broke his heart, and finds out all was not what they seemed. I've loved Mitch since book 1, he's charmingly arrogant, brilliant, and hides his hurt under a playboy façade. Halina is kind, capable and has sacrificed dearly to protect Mitch. When he finds out she's involved in the conspiracy, he demands answers - to that, and to their past. And secrets unravel, he realises all that she done to keep him safe.
The hurt and angst are well portrayed, one can feel their pain at being apart. I really enjoyed the rebuilding of their romance and their emotional reconnection. They never stopped loving each other and it shows - they just fit. Their sweet moments are absolutely precious. The action is great, but thebig bad got taken down way too easily . A good wrap up, and loved the found family. The HEA is wonderful and well deserved.
