Allegiance of Honor by Nalini Singh

4.0

I really liked this, it was nice to see all the characters again and see them developing. It was also a more cooperative book and we got to see more of the interactions outside of the romance. The romance we do see is more the steady slow burn of solid relationships than the all consuming new love, the characters are all very much in love (don't worry people!) but we get to see how that impacts the rest of their lives as they have grown together with their partner.

Allegiance of Honour also pushed the plot forward, without the main focus on one couple the whole world moves forward more (although the discussions and meetings did feel a bit endless).

It tied off a lot of loose ends, it doesn't feel like the end of the series but I could leave the characters now knowing how they'll manage down the road.
