This was a fun alternate history! It moved a bit slowly for a juvenile graphic novel but as a historical fiction fan, I enjoyed it. Though I am mostly aware of the Elizabeth/Mary Tudor history, I like this little segment into Elizabeth's exile because it's something I hadn't heard much about. I'm not even sure if such a fictional island existed but I liked this small but cozy world the nuns made for themselves. It was crazy to think that they were all exiled women themselves before committing to the order - it was a very interesting perspective to see this history through the women left behind and on the side.
