Fingersmith by Sarah Waters

This book was such a great surprise the first time I read it and since a lot of that felt like it came down to the fantastic twists, I wondered if my feelings would change on a second viewing, especially after having watched and enjoyed the Korean adaptation which shuffled up the twists in pretty major ways. However I still love this book, I still think it's the best book Sarah Waters has written so far, and as much as I did enjoy The Handmaiden, Maud and Sue are more interesting characters to me because of how deeply flawed they are as people. They don't always make good or nice choices but you still root for them. I do think the third act twist is the least interesting of the three major twists but it leads to a happy ending so I can't really complain too much. Great book.
