I was lucky enough to get a signed copy of this book at Y'allWest. So thank you, Molly Ostertag, for allowing me to read this great graphic novel!

Normally I don't go for graphic novels, because I feel that the plot often gets simplified for the sake of the visuals. I didn't feel like that was the case with this one, as instead we got a lot of symbolized and thematic illustrations sprinkled throughout. The story itself could be seen either as a literal reckoning with evil, or as a metaphor for one's personal baggage and demons.

The characters and interpersonal relationships are also handled in a very mature and realistic manner. I appreciated the shades of grey present in ALL the characters, including the so-called "villains."
