Suzanne's Children: A Daring Rescue in Nazi Paris by Anne Nelson

3.0

This book is about the French Resistance in Paris. Nelson uses a narrative timeline to describe what is taking place in the city, focusing on the network that Suzanne Spaak was a part of. Based on the subtitle I was expecting a single heroic rescue mission but it's more of a network of finding safe houses for children and money to support them. Much of this story is told 'from a distance' because so many of the details are unknown. It lacks in depth details but does provide a good overview of occupied Paris.
