annettekh 's review for:
The Scarlett Letter
by Nathaniel Hawthorne
I come pretty close to hating this except for maybe the end where the language is toned down. The story in itself could probably have been written in a fraction of the pages if it wasn't for the unnecessary droning on about details - most commonly concerning the forest, beams of light etc.
I listened to this as an audiobook and I am very grateful to Librivox for having the time and patience to read this outload for people who would have otherwise quit on the 2nd page of the Custom House.
