Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata

- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
I did not consider this book funny at all and I think calling it that does Keiko an injustice. This story is about a neurodivergent woman who has worked in a Tokyo convienience store for 18 years. She is on a somewhat lopsided quest to become ‘normal’.
It is an interesting reflection on societal expectations.
