The Cellar by Minette Walters

3.0

I was pretty engrossed in the creepy/haunting/eerie aesthetic that Walters brings into the plot. A true reap what you sow type story of horror yet the grotesqueness of some of the events seems a bit much until you realize that incidents like this occur in the world most likely.

Quick little horror-type read that had me wanting to finish the book just as quickly. However, not exactly sure I liked the story as much as its setting if that makes sense.

Also, dialogue is done without quotation marks for most of the book which was an odd choice but hey, I'm not a writer.
