I feel like I’m “supposed” to hate this. It’s so far outside the male gaze & men are decentered fully, so that can feel uncomfortable to the vast majority of women who have become “pick mes” to survive this patriarchal society.
To be fair I was the target audience. I’m creeping towards perimenopause, the great unknown of menopause where women become invisible & meaningless objects no longer to be objectified. I laughed, cried & related so hard. I felt inspired, led, informed, challenged & hopeful for what could be outside the binaries we draw in our lives.
