An interesting read! I focused on the two personality types I somewhat fitted under and didn't really read the rest, except how to deal with a Rebel child - but then I think all 5yo's are Rebels of a sort.
I think I'm a questioner (and thats such a questioner thing to say), but at the same time, much of the Obliger tendency resonated with me (and I actually got even scores on the in-book quiz on these two opposing tendencies!) - I wonder if thats why I struggled so much with parenting? I wanted to continue being a questioner, but fell into Obliger habits (putting everyone else first) and freaked the heck out... The complication for me is that I enjoy a degree of external accountability - but it works best in the form of rewards for success, and it still needs to be something I believe is worth doing.
Anyway, some interesting reads, I'd recommend it especially to friends who have rebel partners / kids, as a way of figuring out framing things to get the best out of them and the relationship you have with them.
