I loved delving back into the Guide for Dating Vampires world. Apparently, my favorite kind of vampires are insecure disasters 🩸❤️ Shane and Andres were so sweet and I loved how their relationship evolved.

There are also some really meaningful statements in there that I connect to…

“But sometimes I also think the person I am might be someone who not very many people actually like, so I kind of know what you mean. Like, who I’m putting out in casual settings isn’t the person underneath it all, and while that’s okay and normal, it’s left that unseen me within to languish. Is the person we are beneath the layers of formality real if no one gets to know them?”

“Everyone has always known there was something queer about me, but it’s taken me a long time to actually tell my family about my nonbinary gender…I think they don’t really know me at all, anymore, and it feels safer that way. Some people aren’t worthy of certain parts of you, and that doesn’t make you any less yourself.”
