I love that Sierra Simone books aren’t fade-to-black, slow burn, two scenes scenes-kind of books. They’re here for a good time. I’ve liked the series but this one had a little too much politics (do we care about the “Carpathian war?”) for a fully good time. But if you’re deeply invested in the characters, it is a satisfying end - in more ways than one.
