As I said in the review for the previous book, This is a fucked up novel, but in the best ways. It is not a novel for everyone. It hosts a potential gamut of triggers: physical, mental, sexual, and emotional abuse to just put the list in simple terms.
You MUST read the first book in the series for this to make any sense. And it is a wonderful roller coaster of emotions and drama. I started reading it as soon as I had finished the prior book.
It brings the story lines of Melusine to a satisfying close, while setting up important bits for the next novel, which I am currently devouring.
