Learning about the nuance of Vietnam veterans is really valuable. Having one character shoulder all those different stories and pain, get a romantic wrap up with a guy that wanted to cheat on his wife with her felt like a misstep in that journey. Also, putting two "return from the dead" romantic moments in one book was too much for me.
