Book one sucked me into this world and book two took me on a JOURNEY!! There was so much action and exciting moments that I honestly couldn't stop reading. I loved Aren and Lara and how they were working to heal amid all the chaos. Danielle also introduced so many new characters, but none of them felt out of place. It wasn't too many that the story got convoluted, but they all fit well. I still loved the alternating POVs, and it was interesting to see what each character was thinking. The tension is so well done in this series, so much so that I was sitting here with clenched teeth waiting for these characters to snap. I loved seeing more of the world Danielle created, and I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series!
