And Don't F&%k It Up: An Oral History of Rupaul's Drag Race (the First Ten Years) by Maria Elena Fernandez, World of Wonder

3.5

It was slow and went too in depth in some of the material. To begin with, the introduction was too much “fan” and was laying it on way too think. I wish they had talked more about the racism and not just in context of the Vixen. The Vixen was reacting to producer story cuts and activities from earlier seasons, and I felt like the interviewees were never asked about racism on their own seasons. I did appreciate the conclusion the most, which had a view of how this tv show changed the lives of people who participated, culture, as well as their day to day livelihoods.
