Under Heaven
by Guy Gavriel Kay
Under Heaven is hauntingly beautiful. The prose is simple, direct, and lyrical. Many authors stumble in trying to integrate the personal story of a character with sweeping events that change the world. Kay moves back and forth from the intimate to the epic with grace and ease.
