The way the 3 timelines are woven in together, the reveals and the retelling of stories and history… wow. the ending was melancholic and honestly it’s been a minute since i’ve read something that didn’t have a happy ending, but it was very fitting. i knew the origin of the first timeline, but i didn’t know the name or time period, so when i finally connected the dots i GASPED!!! all the dots finally started connecting.
one of the big reason that i bought this is that i read a lot of danmei, which i like, but is primarily written by women. it’s important to me to support queer stories by queer writers as well!! so i was happy to see a story about queer asian men written by a queer asian man being advertised to me. you ate that Justinian Huang!
