I always thought I was going to love Romeo and Juliet, but, wow. This was not love. And there were so many irrational decisions, and the characters, my God. It was just so grueling to have to read this for school. All of that over-analyzing every stanza for nothing. Sure, it's considered a romantic tragedy, but this whole book itself was a tragedy. Beautiful writing, terrible story.
