How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu
3.0
3.75!
Overall: morbid. Some of these stories were absolutely brilliant, albeit painful and disturbing. Beautifully written, stretching at times to sci-fi. The subtle interconnections between the stories were enjoyable, but not necessary to understand the narratives (except maybe the first and final stories). Nevertheless, not every story absorbed my attention as much, making it hard to judge the book with an overall rating.
So, highlights:
⭐️Throw the Garden of Memory; Pig Son; Song Of Your Decay; A Gallery, A Century, A Cry, A Millennium; Before You Melt Into the Sea ⭐️
