Very interesting. Jemsin tells a rather blunt story with some clear takeaways at the end. However, with their use of perspective and writing style, this short story is balanced and ends before the bluntness becomes overbearing. Reminds me a lot of classic sci-fi writers while being refreshingly direct in addressing current themes. Just overall fun and a good read at the end of the day.
Out of Amazon's Forward series with 1st being the best and 6th being the worst, this ranks 2nd of 6.
