"How are you not dead yet?"
"I work on a ranch. I got stamina."

"Yessir." His eyes flash.
"I like it when you call me sir."

"Who made you boss?" I say with a smirk.
"Your daddy did. You best listen."

Wow. This was my first Jessica Peterson book, and I loved it😍. These two main characters, Cash and Mollie, will most likely continue to live in my brain rent free for the forseable future. I think I may end up being OBSESSED with this series!

I feel like it is so hard to get a cowboy/ranch themed book that is inclusive to the actual cowboy lifestyle, yet includes a well-developed story within the plot. But don't you worry, Jessica did it with this book! I absolutely loved how much of the ranch life was included, from day to day operations, to animal care, to cowboy weekends, just inclusive of the entire lifestyle. She absolutely killed it! After reading this, I'm convinced I need this to be my life. She didn't sugarcoat it. It's hard work from dawn till dusk, and a hard life, but I love how fulfilling that life seems to be.

These characters! Can we talk about these characters? Mollie seemingly had a great life and was fairly successful, but not everything was as it seemed. I love how determined, genuine, and hard working she was. She didn't shy away from a challenge, and truly wanted to work through her past so she could move forward. She was literally my spirit animal!

And Cash? Wow, this cowboy seemed to have it all 😍. He was so protective and strong. Even though he definitely had a rugged nature and was a little gruff, he didn't shy away from the truth or his emotions. I absolutely adored the way he helped Mollie get to know her Dad when she no longer thought she had the chance to do so. Also, can we just talk about the way this man talks, and the banter in this book 🥵? Whew!

I loved how both Mollie and Cash took care of each other. Their relationship was so complimentary and they fit together so well! I feel like I could go on about these two for a while 🤣. I just love them!

I absolutely cannot wait to read book two of this series!
