Another five star book from V.E. Schwab, which doesn't surprise me the least.

I don't actually know what to say. I got the book only a few days ago and started then but didn't get very far and then, in a little under four hours (with breaks) I finished the rest.

Like with every book, it feels like it haunts me when I close it and put it down, but there feels like there's a different kind of haunting here too. That all the ghouls Olivia describes now follow and haunt me, too, but not in a bad way.

The drawings, the glimeses into her mother's journal, all of it just cements the story and shoves it deep inside. It makes me know I will come back to it, whether in dreams or thoughts or through rereads. It will be there and it'll be like slipping back into something familiar.
