This was a fun “young adult” sci-fi novel that takes place on another planet – a potential colony for earth-like beings. I liked how we mainly focused on two characters and got to know their stories really well.
This may be just kind of a cliché thing to say but I feel like the ‘romance’ of this novel is practically the exact same as all young adult sci-fi novels I have read (it doesn’t help when I have heard at least one of the narrators before in a similar role).
The ending of the book was cool and I look forward to the next one.

I enjoy dual narrators for dual points of view. However, I almost wished this book just stuck with the female narrator for this entire book – she can play both parts just fine. The male narrator has a great voice and is great for monologuing, but not great at any other voice – which leads to confusion sometimes.
