Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
4.0
It was so nice to experience this novel this way! It truly felt like I was reading Harry Potter agin for the first time! I've read these books several times over when I first started reading them until I completed the 7th instalment and I haven't really gone back to it since. And being that it's been almost a decade since finishing the 7th novel, it really does feel like starting all over again.
What I liked about this book, aside from the story, was for sure the illustrations! Jim Kay's art is beautiful and it adds to the total enjoyment of the first book.
I still feel that the 4 stars for this one is fair. Mainly because some of the character dynamics drove me nuts, and some parts I still felt could be described and explained better!
Great reread and I'm so excited for the rest in the illustrated series!
