I would've given this book 5 stars if I hadn't found the main character, Jess, absolutely insufferable. Her brother is missing and she's thinking of pounding his friend? And then later on actually does it with someone else helping her. She has issues with the police, fine, but don't you think your brother going missing is reason enough to put that aside? And somehow she chooses to do the wrong thing more than once and make her life more complicated than it was. I understand some of those decisions were important for the plot but it gets annoying after a while.
I really enjoyed the book and the story but Jess kinda ruined it.
