Everything about this book is amazing- the plot, settings, characters. The only thing I didnt like was that it ended.
I love a historical retelling, and one about Robin Hood’s granddaughter and a witty sarcastic healer she can’t seem to shake? Obsessed. Clem’s dialogue consistently made me laugh out loud and Mariel’s story of coming to terms with the legacy she has been born into nearly had me in tears at times. Not to mention the cast of Merry Men, I’m just such a sucker for a group of sweet boys (non-gendered) who love each other openly and fondly.
I meant to get my hands on Croucher’s other works before I picked this one up, not realizing it was the same author, but I’m so glad I did. It’s action packed and emotional, all in the right ways that didnt leave me feeling anything other than warm and fuzzy when it was all said and done. I will definitely be getting my hands on their other works soon.
