Never Forgotten
by Hannah Linder
Thank you to the author for my review copy. My opinions are my own.
Simon Fancourt was a restless teenager ran away from home and the life he was supposed to lead, in the search for something more. But in doing so he jilted his fiancée, Georgina Whitmore, and left her to her problematic family. Now--twelve years later--he's back with two children and a reason to try to marry her again. But she's not interested in him without his love, so they are at an impasse...until tragedy strikes again and Georgina has to choose whether to help him and his children and risk her heart or stay safe and let them face the danger alone.
This story was very well written! The characters were interesting and relatable, the story was engrossing, and I found myself engaged, but unfortunately I was triggered and needed to stop reading for my own health. That said, until that point I very much enjoyed it and from what I did read I would recommend this historical fiction (with romance and suspense), and will seek out Linder's other works that are a bit safer for me.
Trigger warning: sexual assault, violent murder
