This is a fun, exciting book.
The main character, Amari, is a 12-year-old girl who is trying to figure out her place in the world. When she receives a mysterious package from her missing brother, she learns about a shadow world of the supernatural which most humans cannot perceive.
The story starts quickly, dropping the reader into a world filled with the supernatural, including monsters, ghosts, secret agents, and magicians. It's not particularly scary, but it is tense. The plot moves quickly. The end of each chapter makes you want to read the next one.
If you like books like Harry Potter and enjoy a good mystery, then this book is for you. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
