I have been meaning to read this forever after scanning all of the stellar reviews on blogs and on Twitter. Now I'm done and I'm just like 'OMG OMG OMG, I NEED MORE! HOW CAN THIS BE OVER, I NEED MORE!' This is the cutest high school comedy I've read in a LONG time. And Faith Erin Hicks' artwork is just amazing, inspiring and absolutely perfect for this kind of a story. I cannot love the art in this more than I already do! Grabbed this from the library and now I want to go buy it because I feel like I need a copy of this cute graphic novel in my personal collection forever and ever. I love the characters. I LOVE the way it ends. I love how it takes a common high school trope (nerds vs jocks and cheerleaders) and turns it into something else completely unique and fun. I honestly didn't know what was going to happen halfway into it. For me, that's the sign of a great story - when you're totally into the characters and the illustrations and you're going along for the ride happily no matter what comes next. I recommend this one so hard! Perfect for teens, perfect for humor, perfect for nerds and geeks and anyone who likes fully realized characters, male friendships sans unnecessary hyper masculinity and girl geeks turning stereotypes on their heads. I wish there was a sequel! I wish there were some way I could keep reading about these characters and stay in this world a little bit longer. Great, great, great graphic novel!
