Books with mixed up storylines are complicated for me to read when the story jumps through different timelines, and I found myself forgetting who different characters were when I read it in several settings and flipping back to check. However, the way that every character is tangentially related to the murder victim in different emotional ways creates a beautifully woven story and character analysis.
