Narrator of the audio book was great! This is a story of 2 families. Single mom/eccentric artist Mia who tends to live a nomadic life with her daughter Pearl, and the Richardsons, who appear to live a life in ease in their perfect little home in a perfectly planned community. It reminds me of a Stepford community but only in the sense that the community was planned precisely down to the roads, the houses etc. AND everyone follows all the rules. That is until Mia and Pearl enter the scene.

Well written novel that explores the family dynamic and tension among everyone when a court case threatens to upend this safe little community. What I really liked about this book was there were no concrete answers to the issues posed. It really got me thinking about what I would do if I was a certain character at the time. We are reading it for book club and I have no doubt, we are going to have some lively discussion around it.
