As someone who usually plows through books in a day or two, I had a hard time getting through this one. I read probably 20 books in between reading excerpts here and there of Mistborn; if I didn't own it, I probably would not have finished it. BUT the last 100 pages sold me on the book, everything came together really well in ways I did not anticipate. I thought the novel lacked in characterization but definitely had an intriguing plot (well, the ending that is) that I think explains why it is such a popular fantasy classic. Overall I'd say if you like heists and don't mind somewhat graphic violence then this may be the book for you.
Graphic: Violence and Murder
Minor: Rape
