I love this series, I think Frank's character development is interesting to see because he's still Batshit insane but it's like restrained Batshit insane??? I like seeing the relationship develop between our main characters!!
Also DYLAN!!! he hada brief stint with ackerman sr but is this stint the reason why hes so highstrung? or was he highstrung from before and its just become more noticeable after the stint. also trauma is known to pass through generations so....
but the way Marcus reacted to his diagnosis put a sour taste in my mouth. I feel like he could have been more understanding but hey ho, this is Marcus we're talking about here so....
whilst this plot was super interesting and on par with the rest of the books, the new characters fell short for me. I was a bit muddled between who was who and how they were connected to each other (but I did love how the seperate cases came together) BUT I HATED BAX
oh I hate baxter. I hate how he was written, I hate how all the women were expected to have a thing going on for baxter and I hated how when we came to a female character, the first line would always be about her looks.
I really hate baxter though. he's cheesy as a character and cringey but again this is a testament to how well the author has written him for me to have such strong feelings on bax. Good job Mr Cross!
