Beneath the Stands by Emily McIntire
5.0
Tell me how I went from actively hating Eli, to empathizing and loving him. He's like one of the top mmcs in the series! I love the way McIntire shows us "the other side of the story" and I love a good time jump/second chance romance.
I also appreciate that McIntire gives her characters time to work on themselves before they get their HEA. They still have their support system (or perhaps they even GAIN a support system) but they put themselves first for a little while, which I appreciate.
Something to note- this book *technically* has an OW theme, but I thought Sarah was handled fairly and with grace (personal opinion).
