A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes
3.0
Probably a 4 were it not for 2 things: the assertion that this was somehow a women-centric retelling of the Trojan war. Women appeared in each chapter, and sometimes narrated, but they were not the focus nearly as much as they should've been; and Penelope. Nothing but a letter to Odysseus, retelling his own story to him, using facts that I don't even know how she would've got them. I understand you can't omit the Odyssey, but I sure wished you could've.
